The website www.alado.net actually has three components, which are the home page, networks and computers. In these three parts, alado.net has different kind of information.
Firstly, in the homepage, there is a brief history and introduction of www.alado.net, which is so famous between 2001 and 2002 and has more than one million participants. In addition, Andrew Pincon, who is the Chairman and Executive Director of the Digital Workforce Education Society (DWES), is introduced. His experiences and work life is mentioned. In the home page, there is a photo of Pincon in which he sits in a technological room, which shows his profession.
Secondly, in the network part, there is information about the alado networks, which provide great facilities to its users. There is also an Illinois Century Network Map, which shows the network connections in the places such as K-12 Schools, Higher Education, Libraries, Museums and Hospitals.
Finally, in the computers part, recycling of computers is told. It is explained that aldo also supplies chain for recycling computers and distribute them to some organizations such as schools, and to the families that cannot afford buying. There are also pictures of recycling the computers. Moreover, with some links, one can also reach some videos and more pictures about the mission of recycling and distributing the computers, which are very useful.
